Bloomfield Bali Concierge

People hear “concierge” and think restaurant bookings. That’s part of it, but honestly it’s the smallest part. I’ve been coming to and living in Bali for more than 43 years, and I’ve been running Bloomfield Bali since 2017. In that time I’ve built up the kind of contacts you can’t get from a guidebook: villa owners, trusted drivers, private chefs, boat operators, healers, the lot.

It actually started from guests at the hotel. People would ask me where to eat, who to call for a driver, whether a villa they’d found online was actually any good, and I realised I already had the answers because I’d lived here long enough to know. Bloomfield Bali Concierge is me putting all of that to work for people who don’t have the time or the local knowledge to sort it themselves. I’m not running a big agency behind this, I work directly with Bali’s premier event companies and a trusted network of concierge specialists, alongside the best drivers, chefs and villa owners I’ve come to know over four decades, and I bring it all together so it runs properly.

The thing about Bali is that it rewards local knowledge more than almost anywhere I know. Two people can visit the exact same island and have completely different experiences, one stuck in traffic chasing a restaurant that’s fully booked, the other sitting down at a table that was held especially for them. It’s not really about money, it’s about knowing who to call and having them actually pick up.

Our clients are a real mix. Corporate groups after a proper offsite that doesn’t feel like a work trip, where the logistics are sorted so everyone can actually switch off. Families and friends travelling together who want everything organised before they land, so nobody’s arguing about who’s driving or where to eat on day one. And individuals who just want a fast pass through the island, no wasted afternoons figuring things out, no gambling on reviews.

What that looks like in practice: private villas sourced and vetted for groups of any size, Alphard van transfers so everyone moves together comfortably, helicopter transfers when time matters more than money, boat charters and island hopping, restaurant bookings at places that don’t take walk-ins, bespoke itineraries built around what you actually want to do rather than a generic tour, and connections to healers and wellness practitioners if that’s part of your trip.

I still live here, I still run the hotel, and I vet everything myself. Nothing goes through Bloomfield Bali Concierge that I wouldn’t put my own family in. If you want the island done properly, get in touch.
